ONLINE QURBANI

Qurbani simply means sacrifice. This refers to the sacrifice of animals to honour Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his precious son Ismail in his devotion and dedication to Allah Azwajal. The meat from your Qurbani can be split 3 ways. One third for yourself, a third for your neighbour and a third for the poor and vulnerable.

The Prophet ﷺ said “A person is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour goes hungry.” (Bukhari)

Qurbani can be performed from the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah until the sun sets on the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah. Often the act of Qurbani is performed after Eid-ul-Adha prayers.

The Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم would sacrifice two animals every year, one on behalf of himself and the members of his household, and the other on behalf of his Ummah. Revive this beautiful Sunnah and gain double the reward by giving Nafl Qurbani for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم , Scholars of the Ahle Sunnat, or a deceased family member.
